Miro joined Fedora when he link:{url_wiki}/Features/3D_Printing[packaged the 3D printing stack for Fedora 19] and soon become a link:{url_wiki}/Ambassadors[Fedora Ambassador] and started working in Red Hat as a member of the link:{url_wiki}/User:Python-maint[Python Maintenance team]. Apart form Fedora Council, he is also a member of the link:{url_wiki}/SIGs/Python[Python SIG], link:{url_wiki}/Packaging_Committee[Packaging Committee], provenpackager, packager sponsor, former xref:fesco::index.adoc[Fedora Engineering Steering Committee] member, and a contributing member of the link:https://www.python.org/psf-landing/[Python Software Foundation]. Miro currently maintains around 200 Fedora and/or EPEL packages and the link:https://fedoraproject.org/labs/python-classroom[Fedora Python Classroom Lab]. He also teaches at the link:https://www.cvut.cz/en[Czech Technical University] and often helps with the link:https://pyladies.cz/praha/[Czech PyLadies beginners courses] in Prague. Miro lives in a small Czech village with his wife, Irish Wolfhounds and ginger cats, growing tomatoes to relax.

As a Community Architect at Red Hat, Laura loves to learn and explain how things work to bridge the gaps in engineering disciplines. She is or has been the host of a number of podcasts on topics from technical leadership to cloud native technology and has held many different roles within and outside of tech. As a community member, she co-hosts multiple meetups in the Austin, Texas, area, including Cloud Austin. For many years, she taught Python for the Women Who Code Austin meetup, as well. She is an organizer for DevOpsDays Austin and PyTexas and advises KCD Texas, all community-run conferences, as well as a global core co-chair for the DevOpsDays community. For the past number of years, she has been a returning program committee member for Open Source Summit’s Cloud Open track that explores cloud infrastructure and cloud apps. Outside of tech, Laura runs, reads, and watches clouds—the real kind.

Jef has more than a decade of experience in the technology industry; as software engineer, open source contributor, IoT hardware developer, operations, and developer advocate. Prior to entering the technology industry as a paid professional, he was a plasma physics researcher. First in a Princeton lab work with fusion energy relevant experiments in New Jersey as a graduate student, and then pretty much everywhere but a lab building radars studying ionospheric plasmas as part of the SuperDARN international collaboration while living in Alaska. During his period as an academic researcher, he also was involved in the fedora.us repository as a contributor, which susequently merged with Red Hat's effort to build what became the Fedora Project. Jef was even an elected Fedora Board member (the thing that pre-dated the Council) briefly before his trips to Antartica and elsewhere made it impossible for him to continue actively contributing to Fedora. Now he's back serving the Fedora community after some time away.
